Adobe for Startups: Free Firefly, Acrobat for 1 Year
Adobe for Startups gives eligible early-stage startups 12 months of free Firefly Pro Plus, Acrobat Studio and Semrush. Who qualifies and how to apply.

Adobe for Startups is Adobe's new programme that gives eligible early-stage companies 12 months of free access to Adobe Firefly Pro Plus, Acrobat Studio (which includes Adobe Express Premium) and Semrush. Adobe announced it on its official blog on 2 November 2026, and an India version of the programme page with an application form is live on Adobe's site. For a bootstrapped or seed-stage Indian founder who designs pitch decks, social posts and websites alone, that is a year of paid design, document and SEO tools at no cost. Here is who can apply and what you get.
What is Adobe for Startups?
Adobe says the programme is meant to help early-stage companies "build the brand, content and customer reach they need" to turn an idea into a growing business. The free year covers four products:
- Adobe Firefly Pro Plus: Adobe's creative AI studio for images, video and audio, with Adobe's own models, partner models, and Photoshop on web and mobile.
- Acrobat Studio: PDF tools, an AI Assistant for summaries, and tools to build proposals and presentations and collect signatures.
- Adobe Express Premium: templates for social posts, flyers and brand assets.
- Semrush: keyword research, site health checks and tracking of how your brand shows up in Google and AI-powered search.
Adobe's FAQ says the offer covers up to five seats per team. More seats and products cost extra. Startups also get workshops, events and a founder community. The first is a "Brand on Demand" workshop on 3 December 2026.
Who is eligible for Adobe for Startups?
As per Adobe's programme page, applicants must:
- be an early-stage company (Seed to Series A),
- have been incorporated or founded in the last five years,
- have raised less than $15 million in venture funding, and
- have a company website and a business email address.
Adobe reviews every application and verifies eligibility before accepting a startup. The free offer can be redeemed only once, for 12 consecutive months. After that, startups can move to a paid Adobe plan if they want to keep the tools.
Can Indian startups apply for Adobe for Startups?
Adobe runs an India page for the programme (business.adobe.com/in) with the same eligibility rules and an "Apply now" form. But Adobe's announcement also says "program terms, eligibility criteria and country availability apply", and Adobe has not published a country list. So Day1 could not confirm that every Indian startup will be approved. The safest route is to apply and check the terms shown during sign-up.
Adobe also says some partner accelerators and VCs may offer access through their own marketplaces. If yours does not, Adobe asks founders to write to [email protected].
How to apply for Adobe for Startups?
The process on Adobe's page has three steps:
- Tell Adobe about your startup: fill in the form on the Adobe for Startups page.
- Verify eligibility: follow the steps in the verification email.
- Activate access: start using the tools once approved.
Keep your incorporation details, funding information and a business email ready. A personal Gmail address may not count as a business email.
