Flipkart backs travel-tech startup TravClan in a $5 million round
TravClan, which powers more than 15,000 travel agents, has raised $5 million from Flipkart and August One, plus debt from Trifecta Capital.

Behind many international holiday packages sold by your local travel agent, there is a platform doing the heavy lifting. TravClan is one such platform, and it has raised $5 million in funding from Flipkart and August One, along with debt financing from Trifecta Capital.
What TravClan does
TravClan gives travel businesses a single platform to sell and deliver trips: flights, hotels, activities and international holiday packages. It handles pricing, itinerary building, bookings, payments, customer communication and on-ground support at the destination.
So instead of every travel agent building their own systems and supplier tie-ups, they can plug into TravClan.
The numbers
According to the company:
- More than 15,000 travel agents across India use its platform
- It processes more than $100 million in annual travel sales
- About 40% of its business now comes from Tier II and Tier III cities
Where the money goes
TravClan will use the funds to grow its global supply network, improve its technology and AI tools, and strengthen operations in key international destinations.
Co-founder and CEO Arun Bagaria says the goal is to make TravClan the infrastructure any travel business can build on, so they don't have to recreate the whole travel stack themselves.
Why it matters
Indians from smaller cities are travelling abroad more than ever, and many still book through a trusted local agent. Tools that make those agents faster and more competitive are a quiet but big opportunity.
