Tech30 2026: the 30 deep-tech startups to watch, from drones to chips
YourStory's Tech30 2026 list picks 30 Indian startups building core technology: drones, chips, space, robotics, health and clean energy.

Every year, YourStory picks 30 young Indian startups it believes are building the technology of the future. The Tech30 2026 list is out, and this year it is all about deep tech: companies that build the technology itself, not just apps on top of it.
The list was unveiled at TechSparks 2026, YourStory's startup summit, by Sridhar Vembu, co-founder of Zoho. This year's theme was "The New Tech Order".
A few startups that stand out
- Kubo Care uses radar and AI to detect falls of older people at home, with no cameras or wearables.
- Harvested Robotics has built RAKSHAK, a tractor-mounted machine that finds weeds with cameras and removes them with lasers, about 80–100 weeds a minute.
- MiCoB uses robotic 3D concrete printing and says it has delivered more than 650 printed structures across 13 states.
- MumbaiSemi makes the DhruvaPro chip, which lets navigation receivers work with India's NavIC system and global systems like GPS.
- Dognosis is developing a breath-based cancer screening test.
- EON Space Labs now has its MIRA imaging payload in orbit.
The full cohort also covers satellites, defence drones, clean hydrogen, battery recycling, quantum-safe security and AI for surgery.
Why it matters
Past Tech30 lists picked companies like Freshworks, Chargebee, Skyroot and Pixxel early. Many in this batch work in areas that need years of research and patient money. It shows how Indian founders are moving from "using technology" to "making technology".
